This 1959 Jaguar XK150 open two-seater was purchased by the seller around 2004 and restored in 2007. It is powered by a replacement 3.4-liter inline-six and finished in Cotswold Blue over blue leather. Equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, dual-piston front brake calipers, electronic ignition, and a dual exhaust system. This XK150 is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The 2007 build included sandblasting and painting the frame with POR-15, dip stripping the bodywork and repainting it in the original Cotswold Blue, and replacing the soft top.
Chrome 16″ wire wheels and two-eared knockoffs were installed in 2007 along with the Coker tires. Additional work in 2007 included rebuilding the brake master cylinder, installing dual-piston front brake calipers and Koni shocks, and replacing the suspension bushings and rear leaf springs.
The cabin was reupholstered in the factory Light Blue, and the leather seat covers were sourced from BAS Jaguar Trim.
Centrally mounted Smiths instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 10k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added under current ownership.
The replacement 3.4-liter inline-six was installed before the seller bought the car. It is equipped with an electronic ignition system.
A five-speed manual transmission was installed during the build.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the original colors, body/drivetrain numbers, and production information.
