Auction description:
Vintage Motor Cars in Arizona
19 January 2007
Lot 276
1955 Jaguar XK 140MC Roadster
Sold for $137,500
Chassis no. G29428S

The 1955 Jaguar XK 140MC Roadster offered here was a genuine barn find. Found in Fort
Worth, Texas, the car had been in storage for 35 years. During the two-year ground-up restoration, the body was found to be free from rust or any other major defects. Paying strict attention to correctness, the car was restored using the original nuts. Today the XK 140MC roadster, with its deep blue paint, a gray leather interior and polished wire wheels is simply breathtaking and without question worthy of close inspection.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
