Ebay item 6/10/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1954-Jaguar-XK-XK120-OTS-/172722583786
Current bid US $7,100.00
Reserve not met 9 bids 9 days left in auction, seller kkrestorations, 66k miles. In Redding, California.
Sellers description:
The basics; 1954 Jaguar XK120 SE roadster project car. Stored outside in Northern California for over 30 years. Pretty rusty in certain areas but certainly restorable. C-Type head with SU H8 sandcast carbs. Looks to have been raced at some point judging by the roll bar and SCCA sticker. Reasonable reserve.
We recently purchased this car from an estate sale not far from us. As the owner is deceased we don't have any history on the car except that it was stored outside for over 30 years without turning a wheel. As you can see from the pictures there is some significant rust damage but the availability of new sheet metal parts for these cars is excellent.
The chassis number is S675158, engine number is F2380-8S. The block matches the data plate but the head does not, bearing the number G1827-8. However this is a C-Type head fitted with the 2" SU H8 carbs so if you have to have a non-matching head this is the one to have. We have not tried to turn the engine over, as that might cause internal damage. Engine appears complete and unmolested. Gearshift lever and linkage is rusted and not operational.
Major missing parts are top frame, windscreen assembly, side curtains, and spare wheel.
Body condition is best judged by the extensive picture album which you can see Click Here. The wooden boot lid frame is totally gone and the hinges are seized. Bonnet hinges operate and bonnet/front apron show no evidence of crash damage. Doors don't open as latches and/or hinges are seized. Dash appears complete with all instruments and switchgear.
Undercar the chassis and running gear appear original. There is some pretty serious rust damage to the chassis as shown but you can actually buy brand new frames for these cars.
The loose parts pictured (fan, heater, bumper brackets, headlamp rims, etc) all come with the car.
Clear California title in hand.

chassis no. S675158 is a with Special Equipment (M version for US) and a dealer option. The “standard” XK 120 Open Two Seater was a fast car for its time, and the 3.4 SE was already the sports option of the XK 120. The racing parts were made available through agents/dealers beginning in 1953 according to Service Bulletin #95A dated April 1953. This way, the car presented 210 hp at 5750 rpm instead of standard 160 hp at 5000 rpm. It is the case of the car proposed in this lot. The car was first delivered to US distributor Hornburg, LA, USA and on 7 April 1954 sold to Dennis L Sullivan. The car was found in the USA with an old California plate and an original vintage SCCA sticker. It is a matching numbers Car with engine number F2380-8S and body no.
