This 1955 Jaguar XK140 Special Equipment Roadster is a restoration project that has been off the road since 1988. Finished in black with an uninstalled red interior, the car comes equipped with a non-original 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a Getrag 5-speed manual gearbox. A number of new and original parts accompany the car, including the numbers-matching C-Type cylinder head and Moss gearbox. This XK140 restoration project now being offered in Canada with over $15k USD in new parts, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and a clear Ontario registration.
The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six currently installed is equipped with a standard XK-140 head, original H8 sand-cast carbs, and utilizes a Mark VII cylinder block. A Getrag 5-speed gearbox has also been retrofitted using custom mounts and a shortened driveshaft. The original rebuilt C-type cylinder head, and 4-speed Moss gearbox accompany the sale.

Original Moss box is JL32861.
JDHT cert shows the car as dispatched 24 Nov 1955 to the original distributor James L. Cooke Motors in Toronto.
Car is registered in Ontario as a 1956 model.
The cylinder head currently fitted is G-7181-S, believed to have come from a FHC.
It matches the spare block.

I bought this car 2018 on a Bring a Trailer auction, the body has been dipped in an acid bath, badly neutralised so I have to do
the whole job again, but fun to do!!
The car came from Canada and is in the Netherlands now.
