Jaguar XK 120 FHC – 1of, unique, registered, TÜV, H, Concours of Elegance-

Price EUR 129,000

For sale is a unique, black 1952 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupé. With targeted visual refinements, the already iconic shape of this Jaguar XK120 FHC has, in my opinion, been reduced to its essence and thus perfected. Connoisseurs will immediately recognize the subtle changes, while laypeople will only notice the clean and elegant lines of the vehicle. That was the goal: to make an already beautiful car even more beautiful.

The Jaguar was produced on April 8, 1952, and first delivered on May 8, 1952, via Charles Delacroix in Paris. It is a rare left-hand drive model with a verifiable history spanning several decades. In addition to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate, numerous historical documents are available, including old registration papers, sales contracts, invoices, and restoration records from France.

For many years, the vehicle was part of a well-known French collection in Strasbourg. Previous sales documents list the owners as Bernard Duhamel and Marcel Petitjean. Furthermore, older descriptions mention a possible connection to the 1958 French film "Les Amants."

Technically, the Jaguar underwent a comprehensive overhaul during the winter of 2025/2026. Approximately 500 man-hours were invested in recommissioning and optimizing the vehicle. Among other things, the ignition, electrical system, cooling system, carburetor, clutch, water pump, as well as numerous seals and wear parts were renewed or overhauled. In addition, the vehicle received a new radiator and a modern electric fuel pump to ensure reliable operation.

Instead of the original engine, the car now boasts a more powerful Jaguar XK140 engine with a C-Type cylinder head, producing around 180 hp! A particular highlight is the pair of original H8 "sandcast" carburetors, which are extremely rare and highly prized by enthusiasts. This is complemented by a later, largely synchronized (2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear) Jaguar gearbox, which significantly improves driving comfort.

- Year of manufacture: 1952

- Chassis number: 679599

- Engine displacement: 3,442 cc

- Inline six-cylinder engine with twin overhead camshafts

- XK140 engine with C-Type cylinder head (non-matching) producing approximately 180 hp

- 4-speed manual transmission

- Exterior color: Black (matching)

- Interior in tan/cognac leather (matching)

My personal condition rating (using school grades):

- Paint: 2

- Wood trim: 2

- Interior leather: 1-

- Floor mats: 1

- Headliner and parcel shelf: 3

- Electrics: 1-

- Mechanicals: 2-3

- Rust: 1

- Undercarriage: 2

The Jaguar has been restored over the decades with high-quality, period-correct Jaguar components. Further developed. This combines the character of an XK120 with improved drivability and performance.

My offer is aimed at collectors, Jaguar enthusiasts, and lovers of exceptional British sports cars with (racing) history.

The Jaguar has German (historic) registration with a current TÜV inspection, is registered, and ready to drive. In addition to a comprehensive test drive and briefing, a lift is available on-site for inspection from underneath.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
