This 1955 Jaguar XK140 MC fixed-head coupe was refurbished around the early 1990s and was acquired by the current owner in 1996. The car is finished in white over Red leather and is powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include 16″ wire wheels, Lucas fog lights, and a Clarion cassette radio. This XK140 is now offered on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, the owner’s manual, service records, prior JCNA judging sheets, an award ribbon, spare parts, a car cover, and a clean Indiana title, listing it as a 1956 model year.

The car came finished from the factory in Pearl Grey and was repainted white during the aforementioned refurbishment. Lucas fog lights are fitted.

The 16″ wire wheels are mounted with Vredenstein tires measuring 185R16. A spare is stored under the trunk floor, and braking is handled by drums at each corner.

The adjustable seats are trimmed in Red leather, and interior appointments include a wood dash, cabin heater, a defroster, a Clarion cassette radio, a folding rear bulkhead, lap belts, wind-up side windows, and door storage pockets.

The five-digit odometer shows 35k miles, approximately 15k of which were added under current ownership. The selling dealer states the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.

The 3.4-liter inline-six featured dual SU carburetors from the factory for a rating of 220 horsepower, and it retains a C-type cylinder head. The carburetors were rebuilt in 2010, while more recent work in 2024 involved replacing the battery, flushing the coolant, and changing the oil.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The selling dealer notes two rust holes on the bottom of the battery box as well as corrosion in the spare tire well.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists the factory colors and serial numbers along with a build date of July 18, 1955.

The car is titled using the engine number shown above with a “5” in place of the “S”.
