This 1957 Jaguar XK150 SE fixed-head coupe is a left-hand-drive, non-running project that is said to have been in storage for multiple years and was acquired by the current owner in June 2023. The car retains a 3.4-liter inline-six and a four-speed manual transmission as well as wire-spoke wheels, dual SU carburetors, partial red leather upholstery, and Smiths instrumentation. This XK150 project is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father-in-law with spare and removed parts and a clean Nebraska title in the owner’s name.
The body is coated in gray primer, and it is resting on wood blocks that are not properly secured to the chassis. Areas of corrosion and body filler are present, along with evidence of previous bodywork. Headlights, windows, and various removed trim pieces accompany the car.
The 16″ knock-off wire wheels wear two-ear spinners and older tires. The car is equipped with disc brakes at each corner.
The cabin has been partially stripped and houses a driver seat back, rear seats, and door and side panels trimmed in red leather. The upholstery is worn, faded, and cracked. A Blaupunkt AM/FM radio and interior panels and trim pieces are included in the sale.
The cracked four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that consists of a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 57k miles, though total mileage is unknown.
The non-running 3.4-liter inline-six features dual overhead camshafts, two SU carburetors, and a dual exhaust system. The seller reports that the engine turns freely by hand.
The cylinder head stamping V1274-8.
A four-speed manual transmission is fitted. The frame was coated under previous ownership.
The car is titled using the chassis stamping S834202. The seller reports that the chassis plate has been lost.
