Car said to be at auction 8/26:

www.manorparkclassics.com/auction/lot/lot-1958-jaguar-xk150/

22nd Aug, 2026 The MPC South August 2026 Auction, Marchwood, Southampton, UK

1958 Jaguar XK150

Estimate £25,000 - £27,000

Registration: 281 XVS

Chassis: S835271DN

Odometer: 6,403

Transmission: Manual

MOT: Exempt

Rare S Model Fixed Head Coupe, one of just 349 produced

3.4-litre straight-six producing 210bhp, with four-speed manual gearbox and overdrive

Recommissioned in 2021 following its return to the UK from the USA

First manufactured on 19th February 1958, this Jaguar XK150 S Fixed Head Coupe was exported to the United States shortly after, on 28th March 1958, before returning to the UK in October 2021. Finished in Carmen Red with a Black Leather interior, this is a particularly desirable example of Jaguar's iconic XK150.

The XK150 S was the sporting flagship of the range, with just 1,466 S models produced from a total XK150 production run of 9,398 cars. Of those S models, only 349 were built as Fixed Head Coupes, making this a particularly scarce variant.

Power comes from the 3.4-litre straight-six engine, producing a claimed 210bhp and driving through a manual gearbox with overdrive. Jaguar quoted a top speed of 123mph and 0-60mph in approximately 8.5 seconds, impressive figures for its era.

Following its return to the UK, the car underwent a recommissioning programme in 2021. This included inspection of the vehicle, renewal of the fuel and cooling systems, replacement of the two 6-volt batteries, radiator hoses, clutch slave cylinder and brake master cylinder, refurbishment of the braking system, replacement of suspension and steering components, electrical repairs, and reconditioning of the dynamo. It also received an MOT in June 2021 with no advisories.

The car is accompanied by a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, invoices for previous works, a UK V5 and its original North Carolina Certificate of Title. The odometer currently displays 6,403 miles, although there is no supporting documentation to verify the mileage.

The vendor describes the car's general appearance as very good. There is a minor issue with the boot lid, which does not shut perfectly and would benefit from an alignment adjustment.

A rare and highly desirable XK150 S Fixed Head Coupe, with its attractive Carmen Red and Black Leather colour combination, manual overdrive transmission and history of recent recommissioning.
