This 1960 Jaguar XK150 Drophead Coupe was acquired by the current owner in 1977 and subsequently underwent a repaint in white and an interior re-trim as part of a refurbishment completed circa 1994. It later underwent a rebuild of the replacement 3.4L inline-six, installation of Wilwood front disc brakes, and additional mechanical work in the mid-2010s as well as the addition of a five-speed manual transmission in 2024. The car wears a tan soft top as well as white-finished 16″ knock-off wire wheels and is further equipped with dual SU carburetors, a PerTronix electronic ignition, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. This XK150 is now offered on dealer consignment by 911r—a BaT Local Partner—with recent service records and a clean Oregon title.
The car was repainted white as part of the aforementioned 1994 refurbishment. It wears a folding tan soft top and is further equipped with a one-piece windshield, dual side mirrors, and full-width bumpers with overriders. The selling dealer notes paint chips around the body as well as chrome pitting on the bumpers.
The white-finished 16″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with Coker Classic tires, and a full-size spare is stored under the trunk floor. Wilwood front disc brakes were added and the steering and suspension were refurbished as part of the mid-2010s refurbishment.
The re-trimmed cabin houses adjustable seats upholstered in red leather, which extends to the dash and door panels. The heater core and floor pans were replaced in 2016 and the lap belts were changed in 2017. The selling dealer notes scratches on various interior trim pieces as well as tears in the headliner.
The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel was installed in 2020 and sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset clock as well as a 140-mph speedometer alongside gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and water temperature as well as a Lucas ammeter. The five-digit odometer shows 3,200 miles, and the selling dealer states that total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 3.4L inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 210 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque. The engine was overbored as part of a rebuild completed by Treasured Motorcar Services of Reisterstown, Maryland, in 2015. An aluminum radiator was installed in 2017, an alternator conversion was performed and a PerTronix electronic ignition was fitted in 2018. The car is further equipped with a stainless-steel exhaust system. Compression-test readouts are viewable in the gallery, and the selling dealer notes oil leaks from the front engine cover as well as the oil pan.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission that was retrofitted by Consolidated Auto Works of Portland, Oregon, in 2024. The selling dealer notes corrosion on various underside components as well as in the rear fenders.
