    I own this car now for several years. We did many Mille Miglia with the car and also Le Mans Classic in 2010 and 2012. The car is fantastic runs great and is a joy to race.

    This is one of the six XK120 cars built by Jaguar for racing purposes:
    1. Chassis # 660040 with Reg # JWK 651 raced by Leslie Johnson

    Chassis # 660041 is an early right hand drive alloy roadster, specifically built up and trimmed by Jaguar for competition purposes. This car is the very first Jaguar ever to see the finish line at the 24h Le Mans race.

    The car was built by Jaguar for the Australian Nick Haines for the 1950 racing season and campaigned in the major races of the period:

    After the 1950 racing season the car was then kept in the Haines family possession until 1986, at which time the well known Jaguar restoration specialist John Person bought the car for his wife Ursula. He restored the car retaining all of its original components such as engine, gearbox, axles, body panels and interior trim. The Engine was dealt with by George Hodge, the gear box and axles by Alan George and the body by R.S. Panels. The Pearsons kept the car for many years. In 2001 the car was sold to Charles Bromage and a few years later, in spring of 2009 to Hans-Martin Schneeberger.

    We recently found another race entry of the car before it was retired from racing: 11. August 1951 at Boreham with Roy Salvadori. This appears to be the first race of Salvadori after his severe accident in his Frazer Nash.
