This car is mentioned in Jaguar Driver magazine October 1981-XK Bulletin section- within an article detailing XK originality e.g" boot lid and bonnet prop were chromed on early XK120 roadsters" The car was said to be owned by Peter Watts and it was stated to be"more original" (than the car owned by the author of the article, Rupert Arkell)

    2017-01-06 17:18:01 | Simon Drabble writes:

I would be very grateful if somebody could let me have a copy of the article.
I bought the car in April 2015 and sent it to the Jaguar Heritage (now Classic) in Browns Lane and they gave the car a sympathetic but extensive mechanical restoration leaving the bodywork in its original condition. I picked it up from the factory 66 years after it left the first time! It was the first XK restored by them.
The car is a joy to drive and is used almost daily in the summer!

Please, please, remove that wart from its nose.

Jeremy I agree they are prettier without the leaper but in 1962 the owner at that time changed the colour from silver to green and put it on so I feel it would be bad karma to take it off!
