660390 was bought for "about £1500" circa 1952 from Inwards Ltd of Ruislip, by well-known musician Antony Hopkins. It was White with Tartan seats (covers?) and had 3000 miles on the clock. Antony Hopkins CBE was a celebrated English composer, pianist and conductor, who conducted at the BBC Proms and was a radio broadcaster on "Talking About Music" for nearly 30 years. He owned 14 Jaguars in all, from Mk IV dhc, to XK120,150, and several E-Types, culminating in one of the12 genuine Lightweights, which clocked 0-100mph in 11.5 secs. He once came second in E-Type AH 600 at Silverstone.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
