This car is mentioned in Jaguar Driver magazine December 1977 in an interesting letter from the owner, Robert McDonald of Winton New Zealand. He mentions that the car had an interesting, if not a shady, past! It showed signs of being raced with modified bodywork.. He states that the car apparently left the factory pained black with tan upholstery and had many different colours since. He rescued the car from an old shed in a cherry orchard and the colour then was metallic pink.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
