This car is mentioned on P. 10 XK Gazette November 2002 as having a new(different) body and the buyer was taking it to Sweden

Not original engine or gearbox, engine number said to be C4820. ???
Current bid 255.000 SEK (20.000 GBP), 15 days left in auction.

Auction withdrawn due to unclarity about the car and its parts.

If it is a fraud it is a clumsy one. It was reported in 2002 the body changed but you do not expect a later number F 6552 to be stamped on the works plate. The eng and G/box numbers are plausible for this chassis if still in the car

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
