This 1953 Jaguar XK120 DHC is an effortlessly stylish and elegant classic British open-top sports car, noted to benefit from a historical restoration.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.4-litre straight-six fed by twin SU carburettors, delivering 160bhp to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
The odometer indicates 1,852 miles, though this is not warranted.
This XK120 DHC (Drophead Coupe) was originally finished in black, and is noted to have been repainted in the mid 1970s in its current Carmine Red hue, with a black convertible roof which was originally Sand-coloured, over a red leather-trimmed interior, punctuated by swathes of wood veneer trim.
It rides on a set of 16-inch body-coloured steel wheels with chrome Jaguar-branded hubcaps, and chrome trim rings, fitted with Radar Dimax Classic tyres.
Equipment includes a four-spoke steering wheel, push-out front quarter light windows, door card storage pockets, Smiths gauges, and heating and ventilation.
Accompanying the car is the current V5C, the original registration certificate and brown tax book dating back to 1954, an ‘as-new’ reprinted handbook, the car’s Jaguar Heritage certificate dated from 2019, as well as three keys.
