RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby’s is offering this car for sale in London on 29 OCT 2008. Information from their website includes:
“Delivered new to the United Kingdom, the XK 120 Drop Head Coupé offered here was purchased in 1988 by an Italian collector from its British owner. It was subsequently treated to a complete restoration upon its arrival in Italy and sold a few years later to another Italian gentleman based in Mestre. After three years of persistence, the vendor finally acquired this particular car in 1997 and has enjoyed it ever since.
A matching-numbers example it is reportedly very well sorted and is very nicely presented. With no known accidents in its history, the handsome XK 120 is finished in burgundy with a cream leather interior. Any shortcomings are generally quite minor and are relegated to certain paint imperfections and signs of wear in the restored interior. The car runs and drives very nicely and pulls beautifully in all gears. It is currently registered in Germany and is accompanied by an ASI passport, Heritage Certificate, and an assortment of handbooks and bills.”
