Manufacturer Jaguar
Model XK120 FHC
First Registered 1954
Registration No NWT 216
Engine No F1982-8
Chassis No 669129

The example offered here dates from the final year of production for the 120 and has been in care of the deceased owner since 1981, when it was bought as a restoration project. Part of a large and eclectic private collection, the car is only being sold as a result of the death of the owner and the advancing years of his widow.

Full details will follow shortly, complete with photographs of the fully restored motor car but one aspect that we are able to reveal is the presence of a very rare factory steel sunroof.

Additional description from above auction:
The example offered here dates from the final year of production for the 120 and has been in care of the deceased owner since 1981, when it was bought as a restoration project. Part of a large and eclectic private collection, the car is only being sold as a result of the death of the owner and the advancing years of his widow.

Finished on Old English White with superb red leather interior, the car is in excellent order and is on the button. However, we would advise some inspection and minor recommissioning before use, as the motor car has been stored for some time. The rare factory sun roof is in excellent working order and the car does drive.

The XK register has kindly provided further information on this 120 FHC, which supports the fact that it is a matching numbers example and was originally finished in Lavender Grey with suede green interior. The car was built on the 5th February 1954 and delivered to Appleyard of Leeds. During its life the car has worn various registration numbers but it now carries the original number NWT 216. The car was first registered to a Mr. R H Newsholme of of Oakworth near Keighley.

Offered complete with a JDHTHeritage Certificate, which will be included in the history file.

Sellers description:

Jaguar XK120 FHC RHD 1954 - for sale

Chassis no: 669129

This car is most unusual in retaining its original steel wheels and spats (as Sir William Lyons intended) - it is a fully matching numbers car restored to its correct original specification throughout. This is rare indeed (195 right hand drive 120 FHC were built) and will particularly appeal to the discerning collector as almost all surviving cars have been altered or upgraded in some way. It is seemingly unique in being fitted with a steel sunroof which looks to have been factory fitted. The car has had little use since restoration and is in show condition.

Interior: Red (Originally Suede Green)

Registration Number: NWT 216
