Car was mentioned in the July 7, '08 issue of AutoWeek magazine alive and well in private collection in Wisconsin, having been rescued from New Jersey in '89 in very poor condition. The car participated in the 50th anniversary Goodwood meet.

An article about the car written in April 2011 here:

More details about the discovery in the above post plus the fact that the car has had a full concourse restoration in 2010.

I was the one that found this car. I never saw the Autoweek article, but the vehicle had been brought to Wisconsin from New Jersey by the son of the original owner who had left it to him in his will. It then sat, after the son had removed the cylinder head, in the same spot for at least a decade until I came across it, probably in 1991 or '92. I have more "as found" photographs if anyone is interested.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
