The original engine for this car (670021) is W1052-8 and is still located in western Canada. The engine has been in dry storage since the early 1970s.

The original engine was bought by me of Mr David Quirt of Canada in Dec 2010 and arrived here early 2011.
The purchase is fully documented as the original ownership by Mr Quirt.
The engine is screened and numbers are fully authentic.
Mr Pauls is clearly a fool and certainly never owned this engine and if he don't agree he is welcome to proof different.

But interestingly if you look at the message of the last Pauls above and the date and time you can ask yourself the question why he was able to response so quickly as he will not get a message of XK data and claims he wasn't the Pauls what says has the engine.
So it seems the other way round.
Also interesting is that Stuard Ward did added this message jus a couple of minutes after a Mr Roy did added a reaction to one of my other cars #660001 so all seems to be a silly complot of one person to my cars.
Also 670021 don't need any justifying ??

OK the actual story is:
When this XK120 left Nth America and went to the UK it obviously had the wrong motor in it. I do not what jaguar it came from so up to a certain point and maybe still currently this car has the incorrect engine in it.
The original engine W1052=8 that is block number 133 and head number 96 and this included sump, distributor, and coil but no gearbox finished up in the middle of Western Canada and was offered to Europe for sale but no deal was done.
I offered to purchase the motor in Dec 2009/Jan 2010 but the vendor gave the owner of the car another chance to buy the engine and a deal was done sometime late may/june 2010.
My guess is the motor which would have required a complete rebuild has probably not been rebuilt and restored as yet and is therefore not in the car but is available to be fitted and therefore this car can be returned to a matching numbers car without me knowing the fate of the gearbox.
I have very good photos of the engine as it was in Canada.
This car had an early race history in Canada and I have some photos along with some history on the first owner.

The engine is still under full rebuild and the car is in my workshop awaiting to join its original engine.
The gearbox what came with the car when I bought it is the original and correct gearbox as the rear axle is.
