It is extremely unlikely the car on the Left registered [AP300] is 670057 as this car was owned by a diplomat and was housed in another country at this time additionally 670057 is not the car destroyed in the workshop fire as noted above as it was safely located in the UK at this point having arrived back there in july 1955.
If AP300 is an alloy car and have serios doubts which alloy car is it can't be 670105 as this was clearly white originally

    Hi Terry,

On the contrary, it is very likely, as we (the Finnish Jaguar Drivers' Club ry.) now know for sure that there were only two XK120 cars imported into Finland before the 1951 race. The colours match what we know from JHT, the build and dispatch dates match with the shipping schedules and the information we have from SMK Oy, the Finnish distributor at the time.

If there were only two XK120's imporetd in Finland and we see two cars next to one another on the starting line, both registered in Helsinki, AO-490 = 670202 in Cream and AP-300 in SIlver (as was 670057 when it was dispatched from Coventry on Jan. 26th 1950) I don't think there are any other logical conclusions.

After 670202 the next car shipped to Finland was built in August 1951 and dispatched on November 5th 1951, so although it also was "Silver" it can not have been in the race in May 1951:

As there were no other cars, no private imports, that car has got to be 670057. But the puzzle does have some missing pieces still, I hope we can find them somewhere. Cheers!

Hello, with new information from Terry it loks like this car was NOT registered as AP-300, the search continues...

As it turns out Winspeed withdrew the car for sale as an alloy car as it was not really 670057 but they continued to advertise it as a Broadsport F1080 which was the body number for 670057

Is this web site still operational?

Hi, absolutely NOTHING in that car matches with the original #670057, except that body number and paint colour, both of which are obviously brand new, so I don't understand what the connection is supposed to be?
That they re-used the body tag from the original aluminium body? It is beginning to look more and more like this car really was destroyed after all and someone has just used old papers and refabricated a complete car.

    Quote: Jaguar XK120 Roadster Broadsport No.: F1080 - £125,000.00

With an excellent build pedigree under the Broadsport brand of XK guru Guy Broad, this is a very special roadster. Wearing a wonderful aluminium body by Leaping Cats, Disc Brakes all-round, Turrino Alloy rimmed wire wheels and 5-speed gearbox and the engine breathing through 2″ SUs this is an extremely swift XK120.

If you want a fast, elegant & dramatic XK120 Roadster you can`t find much better than this!

NOTE: The Registration No.: 120 XK is NOT included in the sales price and is available by separate negotiation.
