The owner, Mr. Crook at Hilltop Jaguar had to buy both 671023 and 670148 as a pair. The engine for 670148 was luckily in 671023 and (as I understand it) vice versa). A happy find of a numbers matching alloy with a nice early steel OTS in the lot for good luck.

I imported this car around May 2018 in italy, a matching numbers car with its original commission plate and almost complete., supplied with a box of its parts. Original Red with Red -Biscuit interiors.I finished to dismantle during August , at the moment I finished the professional repair of the chassis, and ready for the body rebuild. Engine under rebuild. A nice car indeed, now after securing the repair of the chassis straight on patterns . Will post some pics soon.

About this car, I am pretty sure I lost to buy on eBay, ,several years ago, the picture of a car like this, Red with White stripes, during a race in Sebring.

Every help to find that picture is more than welcomed.

This car has a long California history. In 1958 it was known to be in Gilroy, Californa with registration AYU606, sold by that owner in 2017 to Gullwing Motors, Astoria New York, then to Hilltop Auto, Hanover Massachusetts, then sold to Italy in the same year.
