Seen on eBay, sold for ■■■■■. Ad reads: Up for auction is a all original and complete unrestored 1950 Jaguar XK 120 Roadster chassis number 670311 the 311 left hand car built with 30840 original miles on it, in the original Jaguar felt green paint and interior, with NO RUST BLISTERS ANYWHERE. This was just found in the carport of a 90 year house in the arid California inland where it has sat untouched like in a virtual time capsule for the last 40 years. It looks bad but actually is a restorers dream. All the floors braces and body panels are original, arrow straight and rust free. The engine and driveline are the matching number originals. The spats (skirts) , the side curtains, original floor mats, glass rear window with frame, and aircleaners were found in the boot under a 1966 local newspaper verifying the owners statement that it was drove in and parked there nearly 40 years ago. I removed the skirts and side curtains from the boot and installed them for the photos. There is a unusal brass tag located on the outer body front fender just behind the right front wheel. The shield shaped tag has a Jaguar logo at it's top with the name jouin in it, below that is Hanns Heinrich, Jouin automobile, Munchen, V.D. Tannstr, 4.5 , I think it was sold there in Germany.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
