Current bid $18,972.18 reserve not met, 8 bids8 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Sellers description:
1950 Jaguar XK120 roadster. Finished in British Racing Green with saddle leather interior, this car just wreaks of classic Jag. This XK120 is one of the earliest editions of the first 120's and is valued accordingly at $89,000 per the current Black Collector Car Price Guide. This car had been previously owned by a family who owned the car for 42 years and the car was always stored in a heated barn.
It has been partially restored and refreshed over the past few years. The previous owner noted that the car had approx. 100,000 miles on it prior to the restore and refresh.
CHASSIS # IS 670389
BODY # IS F1477
ENGINE# IS W1744-8
Maintenance includes:
- Upper part of engine has been rebuilt
- Bottom of the engine appeared in excellent condition
- Radiator was sent to New England for an original rebuild
- Shocks and brakes were replaced or rebuilt
- Tan leather interior is approx. 7 years old
- Side curtains were repaired using the existing parts and plastic window
- New canvas top included (not yet installed)
- New Coker wide white sidewall tires are installed with the original hubcaps
- Chrome is outstanding - a mixture of replates and original
- Paint is in good condition, a fairly recent re-spray
- Car received mostly new ignition parts during a major tune up
The seller has spent approx. $10,000 over the past 2 years in updates and rebuilds.
According to the owner:
This classic Jag has been driven approx. 2000 miles in the last 40 years. I spent approx. $10,000 over the past 2 years cleaning up the car and having the mechanics brought up to speed. Interior is original style and is approx. 6-8 years old. Most of the exhaust is new with new wide white wall tires with original hubcaps
Has the original top frame with new canvas top still in the box. Side curtains are original and mild restoration done to original plastic windows.
