According to the Heritage Certificate, this Jaguar was first purchased by A.G. Raymond, the creator of the Flash Gordon comic strip. Sometime in the late 1950's, my uncle got this car while working as a mechanic, after discharge from the Army, in Chicago. It was stored in a garage near Chicago and Western, in the city of Chicago, from the early 1960's until about 1976, when it moved to Niles, IL. Then, about 1991, it moved again to Deer Park, IL. During all this time, it went through various stages of assembly and disassembly. In 2016, it was moved to a mechanic's shop, and has been restored over the last 7 years. Things were put on hold for a while because of the pandemic, but it is now out in the world again.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
