Additional info from above auction:

Hershey 10 - 11 October 2013

1951 Jaguar XK120 Roadster

Chassis no. G71431

Engine no. W3382-8

Body no. F3285

Gearbox no. JH7095

Lot 122. Sold for $126,500. Additional description from Hershey auction:

Produced in 1951, this Roadster was originally finished in cream with a tan interior and red piping, and it is believed to have been delivered new to Ohio, where it has remained for its entire life. A full body-off restoration was completed just last year to concours standards. Every part of the car has been restored to like-new condition, and this Jaguar received a repaint in its original color. Furthermore, this XK120 is certified by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust as retaining all of its original components, which unquestionably certifies its authenticity.

Ownership of an XK120 is simply ownership of one of the most incredible automobiles of the post-war era. This particular example is in amazing condition and has accumulated less than 65,000 miles since new. It has only been driven sparingly since its exhaustive restoration. Sleek, elegant, and masterfully engineered, this XK120 embodies everything that the Jaguar name represents in the automotive world.

Private Party Or Dealer: Dealer

This 1951 Jaguar XK120 is a left-hand-drive roadster that was manufactured in July 1951, spent decades in Ohio, and was refurbished in 2012. The car has been refinished in a cream color over a reupholstered two-tone blue interior, and power is provided by a numbers-matching 3.4-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The car was serviced and later acquired by the selling dealer in June 2017, and post-refurbishment work has included repairing the choke assembly as well as replacing the rear leaf springs, the radiator, and the batteries. This XK120 is now offered with a replacement tan soft top, side curtains with storage bags, service records since 2016, a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, and transferable Connecticut registration.

Originally finished in black, the car was repainted in a cream color when it was refurbished under prior ownership. Exterior features include split front bumpers and rear bumperettes, bright trim, a split windshield, bumper-mounted driving lights, and rear fender skirts. A replacement soft top is included in the sale, and the accompanying tan side curtains and storage bags.

Color-matched 16″ steel wheels with chrome Jaguar hubcaps are wrapped in BFGoodrich Silvertown tires. Brake components were replaced during the refurbishment, and the rear leaf springs were replaced in 2016.

The factory biscuit and red interior trim was replaced with two-tone blue upholstery including matching door panels, dashboard padding, carpeting, and trunk-compartment trim.

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a center-mounted instrument panel with a reverse-sweep 6k-rpm tachometer, a 140-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer displays just under 70 miles, all of which have been added post-refurbishment and approximately 25 of which have been added by the selling dealer. True mileage is unknown.

The 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six features polished cam covers and is equipped with dual SU carburetors. An aluminum radiator was installed in 2016, the choke assembly was repaired in 2017, and both six-volt batteries were replaced and an oil, filter, and lube service was performed in January 2021. Eight pages of 2016–2021 service records are included

The serial number on the cylinder head (W3382-8) matches what is shown on the JHT certificate. The same sequence is observed on the engine block.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. A stainless-steel exhaust system has been installed.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate indicates that the vehicle was dispatched to a dealership in Orlando, Florida on August 1, 1951. The factory color scheme and serial numbers for various components are also listed.
