head not original, engine block not pictured , but as declared it is not matching. Exceptional well done restoration ? it may be , but a LOT of mistakes, late 120 shaped seats,
in 1951 cars, engine bay and boot also should be painted black, horn push on the steering is 140 and very late 120s, so wrong.
Chassis identification plate new, not original.

This very stylish XK-120 roadster is a strikingly well-preserved example with a gorgeous color combination, exuding the pure beauty and elegance that is most often associated with Jaguar's XK-120 models. This example has been driven a scant 18,197 miles since new, and brims with originality and patina throughout. Previously, the roadster was owned by 2 prominent Jaguar collectors who always took great care in preserving the car, while driving it sparingly and keeping it's originality intact. It is exceptionally clean throughout, with a tidy engine bay, clean undercarriage, and a striking Red interior. The car is delivered with it's Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate, and includes a jack, rear wing spats, and Lucas driving lamps that more than complement its unique styling, illustrating the very essence of classic British motoring. While the car stands in a fine show-driver level condition, it would make an excellent candidate to be taken to a complete show-level standard of perfection with a Classic Showcase restoration. This XK-120 is sure to provide its new owner with the pristine driving experience that Sir William Lyons had in mind over 60 years ago.

This beautiful XK120 Roadster - or Open Two-Seater as officially called in the day - first roared to life inside Jaguar's Coventry facility on September 10th, 1951. Originally finished in Pastel Blue over a Duo Blue interior and fawn convertible top, this left-hand drive Roadster was destined for the US market and was dispatched to Hoffman Motor Car Company in New York three weeks later and has likely remained within the United States since.
Today, this iconic sports car is beautifully presented with period-correct Dove Grey paintwork over a rich red leather interior. Under the bonnet, a correct - although not the original matching-numbers - 3.4-liter XK engine and 4-speed transmission give this XK120 performance on par with its striking looks. The demure grey paintwork suits the sensuous curves of the body nicely and accentuates the complimentary red leather interior. The bodywork, complete with rear wheel spats, appears quite straight with good panel fitment and the paintwork has a lustrous shine. The wheels, painted to match the body and fitted with chrome center caps, add to the streamlined look achieved with the rear wheel spats, and neat era-correct Lucas driving lamps are fitted up front. The minimal brightwork on this XK120 is in very good condition as well, as is the leather interior, which is nicely trimmed and shows minimal signs of wear. This XK120 is well sorted throughout and ready to be enjoyed by its next owner, in spirited open-air drives, touring events, or car shows. It offers a great opportunity to acquire an engaging driver's car that is also beautiful and eligible for various driving events.
