Stored in Atlanta, GA for three years, this car was purchased in 1969 by a small town banker in Southwest Virginia who drove it to work and entered it in local car shows where it never failed to "steal the show." After his death in 1986, his widow stored it (under a blanket) in her garage where it slept until rudely awakened in 1998 when a heavy snowstorm collapsed the garage roof resulting in damage to the car's windshield. The car returned to slumber until 2015 when it was pampered by an expert in British car restorations in Danville, VA who:

    Rebuilt rear brake cylinders
    Replaced four front wheel cylinders
    Replaced all rubber brake lines
Made up and fit one front hard line
Supplied and fit replacement master cylinder
    Replaced one front steering joint
    Restored one carburetor body
    Overhauled both carburetors
    Replaced fuel pump filter
Purged all fuel and brake lines
    Replaced spark plugs
    Reconfigured fuel supply to carburetors
    Installed new battery
    Replaced ignition coil
    Cleaned the points
Drained and cleaned fuel tank and pick up tube
    Changed engine oil
    Replaced drain plug
    Cleaned filter housing and cartridge

This car has matching numbers, straight lines, is 95% rust-free (small rust in trunk area), runs and drives fabulously and is ready for it's THIRD owner.

    BONUS item: convertible top frame

    Price: $76,200 negotiable

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
