To add to Terry's comment above Karen Miller wrote to the "XK Bulletin- July 1976" and stated that the car was British Racing Green in 1955 when the original owner traded it in. Karen acquired it in late 1959 and it had been painted Cotswold Blue, then a lighter blue, and had a roll bar installed. It also had part of the side of the engine compartment knocked out to accommodate straight pipes out the the side and down. The car still had its original engine and transmission, although the engine had extensive internal modifications done to it.
