Ebay item 9/1/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1952-Jaguar-XK-120-/250882942916
Current bid $40,100 reserve not met, 9 bids 4 days left in auction. Buy it now price $105,000.
Sellers description:
This is a matching numbers car. A Jaguar Heritage Certificate was issued on this vehicle. I restored the car to its original color. The exterior is Birch Grey, the interior is Red, and the soft top is French Grey. The car was completely striped and repainted (120 should not be taken off the frame in restoration). There is no rust on this vehicle additionally the underside has been rust proofed. The engine has been rebuilt and runs great. The engine head was replaced. I have the original head which could be repaired if needed. There is normally no "judge deduction" for a replacement head as they tended to warp. The wiring harness was replaced. This is a no stories, serious collector car. I have replaced the radiator. The only non-original equipment on the car is an overflow tank for the radiator (they do run hot), a radiator fan, and a switch to replace the cold start carburetor thermal link. This is a fine example of how the car originally left the factory, spats no wire wheels. Having said that, the body is straight, the gaps are excellent, and I had the door hinges replaced and the A pillar and door reinforced. So in fact is better than it left the factory.
