Car to be at RM auction Amelia Island, Florida 3/10/07
www.rmauctions.com/
LOT: 289
ESTIMATE: $80,000 - $100,000
CHASSIS NO: 672536
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The 1953 Jaguar XK 120 Roadster pictured here is a spectacular two-owner vehicle. With no expense spared, the Jaguar was treated to a systematic nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration by the experts at JAG Enterprises. Upon disassembly it was revealed that the XK 120 was absolutely rust free, and being totally straight, had never suffered damage from collision. Even the slightest imperfections with the body were corrected with lead before the car was professionally refinished in British Racing Green using a urethane base coat/clear coat.
The engine, cylinder head, carburetors, transmission, rear differential, and all hydraulics were completely rebuilt. If new old stock parts were not available, the original parts were painstakingly rebuilt or restored.
The interior is beautifully finished with British Racing Green carpet and Biscuit colored leather. The top and side curtains were custom made from Haartz cloth by BAS and display a level of craftsmanship that is second to none.
Very few XK 120s were fitted with fender skirts, which makes this example, an original “spat” XK 120, particularly rare. Restored to uncompromised concours condition, this Jaguar will undoubtedly draw a great deal of attention, favorable comments and awards at any JNCA or British motor car event.
Addendum
Please note that this vehicle is titled as a 1952.

You would think these "experts" who restored it would have learned to mount the rear bumpers the right way up.
(I shall not mention the strange colours...)
