I'm a physician in the Carmel, Monterey, Pebble Beach area where I was born and raised. I love racing my 120 through the Del Monte Forest of Pebble Beach.

I am the third owner of this beautiful Jaguar. I am hoping to find out any information about the original owner or history of the car.

I bought it from the second owner, Donald McAtee of Sugar Grove, Il in January 2015. It had 38,000 original miles on the odometer and a ten year old complete restoration from JK Restorations in Oswego, Il.

The previous owner bought the car from Earl Potter Auto Brokers in the Chicago area in the Spring of 1969. The car at that time was all original and had been sitting, possibly from northern Illinois, Lake Forest area. It was silver over red with wire wheels, evidence of track use, and a rally clock mounted on the dash.

It is possible it's an early "SE" but doesn't have an S on chassis number but seems to have come originally with a split exhaust manifold and wire wheels.

Any suggestions on how to find out more history would be appreciated.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
