For Sale on eBay, along with equally nerve-wracking FHC #679078. There was a Buy IT Now price of $10K on the pair, and auction was ended early.

    Ad reads:

The first Jaguar is a numbers matching, 1951 Roadster chassis # 672950. Though this car has sat for 30 years, the engine is free and will turn!! This car is rusty as depicted in the photos. There are no doors , trunk lid or seats. It is best to assume that what you see is what there is. This car is sold with a Bill of Sale however there may be a title available as we are trying to locate it.

The second Jaguar is a 1952 Coupe chassis #679078. This car has far less rust than the roadster as you can see in the rockers and door sills. This car would be a prime candidate for restoration. This car is also sold with a Bill of Sale. As with the other car, what you see is all there is.

    Sellers description:
This is a 1954 XK120 roadster project. This car is all numbers matching and has the original vinplate. The vinplate numbers are as follows: chassis#672950 engine#w8333-8 gearbox#jl16529 body#f4982 this car comes with a clear title. This car is located in tampa florida. The engine is all intact and it turns freely, but will probably need a rebuild. The chassis is solid with some surface rust visable. This car is nearly complete the major items that this car is missing is the rear decklid. Its also missing the carpet and interior door panels etc. The bumpers and other exterior chrome is in good shape, but should be rechromed. The top frame is in good shape with surface rust present. The doors are not installed on this car, but are in great shape with no major dents present. The rear quarter panels are solid with only some minor rust spots. The bonnet is also in good shape, with no major dents. The hood hinges will need to be moved on the bonnet someone has moved them to far back and the rear of the hood doeasn't close all of the way. The d posts and door sills are present, but need to be replaced due to rust. The rear trunk floor is rusty as well and should be replaced. This is a non wire wheel car. The car will roll for transport, but has no brakes. The front turn signal pods need to be replaced there a bit rusty. The front headlight pods are ok, but they could use some spot welding. This car is priced to sell with a low reserve so please bid while you can.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
