"jaybardee", an eBay seller from High Point, NC, listed the data plate from this car for auction on Jul 15, 2006. The seller provided the following information: "I recently went to an estate sale of a very wealthy local family and bought a box full of accessories for an XK that was in mid-restoration. I saw the jag in the garage, completely stripped and primed for paint, but it was not for sale. I have no idea why they sold this one box full of parts, but I assume the man who was working on the car is now deceased."
