The car is currently in race spec and likely to remain so. Also haas been converted to RHD. Was re-imported to UK in 2006 by Andreew Wright, who raced the car extensively until 2013.

I meant Andrew Moore not Andrew Wright! Andrew Moore campaigned the car very successfully for several years in the Vredestein XK Series. I commenced participating in the same series in 2014 as a novice. I have made many mods to tidy the car up, including changing the roll-bar, which the pictures show. The car suffered some bodywork damage due to a spin at Druids at Brands Hatch in 2016 and had been rebuilt by Brian Stevens over winter 2016/17. Colour will be changed (currently car is in primer having had significant body metal replacement and alignment). This is a very fast car, it would however benefit from a faster driver....

Car now offered at:
ckl.co.uk/sales/1953-jaguar-xk120-comp/
Sellers description:
The XK120 on offer was manufactured in 1953 and spent most of its early life in the US and in 1974 it was purchased by Tom Veale in a rather sorry state. By the late 70's the car had been stripped to a bare shell and frame and subsequently remained stationary until 1989. It was decided that the XK120 would head over to Leaping Cats garage in Boynton Beach, Florida where it would be race prepared for the current years regulations. The car was subject to drum brakes, a new 3.4L XK engine (the original was not subject for rebuild as it wouldn't accept the newer oil pump) and tubular shocks on all corners. However, it wasn't long before the front brakes were converted to XK150 discs with series II E-type calipers. From here on, the XK has compiled a healthy racing history in the US between 1989 and 2006 participating in events such as CARE, SVRA, HSR, VSCDA and MCSCC at Road America, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, Sebring, Mid-Ohio and Blackhawk Farms and more. The car would then move to the UK under the new ownership of Andrew Moore who would continue to race the car until 2014/15 when it was purchased by the current owner who has also successfully raced the car to the present day.
Finished in grey, now sporting a 3.8L XK engine, fitted with a Pro Series Corbeau bucket seat, black Mota-Lita steering wheel and is currently set up on triple SU carburettors.

*Ex-USA car

This XK120 roadster was manufactured in 1953 and spent most of its early life in the USA. Following a lengthy period of storage, it embarked on a successful competition career, participating in events such as CARE, SVRA, HSR, VSCDA, and MCSCC at Road America, Road Atlanta, Watkins Glen, Sebring, Mid-Ohio, Blackhawk Farms and more between 1989 and 2006. The car subsequently moved to the UK under the new ownership of Andrew Moore, who raced it most competitively until 2014/15. It was then purchased by the current owner, who has raced the car to the present day.
Finished in Gunmetal metallic, '958 XUC' is fitted with a 3.8-litre XK engine, which breathes via triple SU carburettors and was rebuilt around six races ago, and has an E-Type gearbox, while the interior features a Pro Series Corbeau bucket seat and Mota-Lita steering wheel. Partially restored in 2017 and presented in ready-to-race condition, this potentially most competitive XK120 roadster is offered with sundry bills and a V5C Registration Certificate.
