Current bid $30,100 reserve not met, 2 bids 9 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1953 Jaguar XK 120 Roadster. This car was restored by the owner approximately ten years ago. The body was removed from the frame, the front-end was rebuilt as was new wiring installed . Extensive repair and fitting was completed to bring the car up to its current condition. The engine was rebuilt and has only 13k miles run time. The head and carbs were rebuilt two years ago plus an electronic ignition was installed (the owner has the original), all with only a couple of hundred miles.

The top frame, oval window, a new soft-top, plus the side curtain frames were never restored or installed, but come with this sale. The car sports Connolly Leather seats and inside door panels. Bumpers are aluminum and not the factory spec originals. The chrome windshield frame is in very good to excellent condition.

Condition: Previous amateur restoration. The owner states the car is an excellent driver. Paint shows its ten-year age and has various chips, etc. (see photos). Back trunk lid is ripply from prior damage, but was difficult to photograph. Interior upholstery, dash and gauges are complete in very nice condition. If I owned this car, I would apply new paint and beading and enjoy it as is. If you are seeking a Jaguar XK 120 open car that is not a trailer-queen, but an example that you can actually enjoy and drive, this is the car for you.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
