1953 Jaguar Xk120 roadster that was last sold at a Kruse auction in 1985. The same owner has owned it since then and has always been maintained ever since. It has always had the oil changed and cases checked when they were due. Also a total grease job has been performed once a year. The paint was done recently.All four tyres were replaced about a year ago. The car runs and drives very well for a 56 year old car. just had the starter, brake master and the fuel pump replaced, none were cheap, all new and not rebuilt. In the engine pictures the air cleaners are off because the carbs were freshly rebuilt and the air cleaners were not yet replaced. The top, frame and side curtains have been lost at somepoint. The interior is brand new and was replaced by Statlers Upholstery. This is not a show car but is a really sharp looking driver that turns heads where ever you take it. Numbers as follows: chassis 673724 Body 4740 engine w5729-8

Both numbers quoted for engine & body would better fit 672724 with a build date of 1952 August

I think this car is probably correctly chassis no. 672734 and that two numbers have been transposed here.

S673724 has had a thorough frame on restoration including engine compartment and trunk(frame on because the original structural integrity of the car was excellent). It is a real beauty and a great driver.

There seems no doubt this is a wrong post. The chassis number for both engine and body quoted above fit 672734 built in 1952 August - a simple transposition
It would be nice if this could be confirmed

· All receipts are included in the sale;
· This is a 59½ year old vehicle still with many original parts. There is no warranty on the vehicle, express or implied;
· The car is sold as-is where is and transportation is the responsibility of the buyer;
· Inspections are welcome and encouraged, but they must be done before the auction ends;

The numbers quoted seem entirely suited to this chassis and I apologise for raising any doubt. Another car 672734 was wrongly advertised with this chassis

This Jaguar XK120 Roadster is an original lefthand drive American car supplied new by the Jaguar distributor in Hornburg, Los Angeles in 1953 and the vendor believes that the car remained in California when new. Recently imported to the UK from Illinois where it had been the subject to a cosmetic restoration, it is finished in the original birch grey with two tone red and tan leather as per the original build sheet. This XK120 Roadster is supplied with a V5C registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in November 2015, a Jaguar Heritage Certificate and a copy of the US title. This represents an excellent example which is ready to be used and enjoyed straightaway.

Hard to believe someone could have made a top fit. This car has the earlier short reach bows (it should have the later longer bows), that's why the top looks wrong, fortunately an easy fix for the new owner.
