This 1953 Jaguar XK120 Roadster was acquired by the seller in 2001 from a close friend, who reportedly purchased the car 50 years ago from his business partner, the original owner. Power is provided by a 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox, and the car comes equipped with a Smiths heater, a black convertible top, removable side curtains, and a tonneau. The brakes and cooling system were serviced four years after the seller acquired the car, and since 2014 it has been unregistered and driven only around the seller’s property. This XK120 OTS is now being offered with a partial tool kit, manuals, and a clean Oregon title.

The original color was reportedly grey, and the current black finish is said to be approximately 60 years old. Imperfections include a dent and some cracking filler on the passenger door.

Steel wheels wear a set of center caps and come wrapped in older Dunlop Road Speed tires. The black convertible top shows a few imperfections. A set of matching side curtains, as well as a tonneau cover, are also included. Note the 1956 Oregon license plates and “Oregon 4 Cylinder Sport Car Club” badge mounted on the front bumper.

The interior is trimmed in red leather with tan inserts on the seats and dash. Seatbelts have been added.

A factory steering wheel remains installed, though the shift knob has been replaced. Smiths instrumentation includes a reverse-sweep tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer. The odometer shows 46k miles, fewer than 3k of which were added by the seller over the past 18 years. The factory clock does not keep time.

The 3.4-liter DOHC XK inline-six features an aluminum cylinder head, hemispherical combustion chambers, and dual SU carburetors. Service work performed over the past 14 years has included tune-ups, a replacement fuel pump, and new batteries. Power is routed through a 4-speed manual gearbox.

In addition to the included workshop and operating manuals are a few service records, spares, a car cover, and related literature.
