The O’Quinn Collection’s XK120 is a lovely example, finished in the sporting combination of black with red leather interior and matching carpets. The car presents very well, and the exterior paint is very nice, generally devoid of major imperfections, save for a couple smaller dings and a few scratches on the trunk lid. The engine bay is of the same quality, presents nicely and seems to be period correct as well, with proper fittings and wiring throughout. The sporting wire wheels are shod with whitewall tires, and there’s also a spare in the trunk. The odometer currently shows 62,524 miles.

With excellent performance, handling and balance, XK120s are wonderful driver’s cars and an absolute joy to drive. This example is sure to offer its next enthusiast owner those same thrills, be it on a country road or leisurely weekend trip.

Now said to be in Mansfield, Ohio.

    Sellers description:
    1953 Jaguar XK-120
The body and serial number plates are intact. The chassis is stamped #674055 with body number #6146. This car has all of the correct stampings and badges affixed to the car, in the proper location.

The engine is expetionally clean. The entire engine bay is excellent, restored condition. The upper frame horns are visible and in like new condition. There is no rust on any area of the engine bay. This is an inline six cylinder, dual over-head cam, dual carburetor, solid lifter engine that develops 210 cubic inches with 160 horsepower. The engine stamping is #W8848, with a #J117193 gear box.

There is a Special Equipment Lucas generator installed. The carburetors are K5-RF with A/C air filters. The Lucas regulator and coil are installed. The cowl body tag reads #6146 the same as the body number.

The exterior is finished in Cobalt Black. The color and paint are excellent quality. The vehicle has been repainted at some point in its restoration.

All of the lamp lenses are in good condition. The rear bumperettes are in good condition. The front bumpers appear to be new re-chrome stock.

The spacing around the car, panel to panel, door to fender, hood/deck lid to quarter panels; is excellent. The car is absolutely outstanding. The chrome is in excellent condition.

Magnets wrapped in microfiber towels, held all along the bottom of the car. The rockers are solid. The stainless and chrome pieces around the door windows and front windshield are in good condition. The door weather stripping is in good condition.

The top bows are like new and operate perfectly. The stainless window frame is in perfect condition. The top locks, to the windshield frame, are in good working order.

The trunk contains a matching spare tire mounted on a matching spoke wheel, and side window glass. The compartment and shelf are solid and rust free and in restored condition. The lower floor is solid and rust free.

The interior is finished in contrasting red leather. The interior shows minimal wear and is otherwise in great condition.

The leather has been replaced during an earlier restoration project and is in excellent condition. The dash is in good condition. The sun visors are in good condition. The shifter boot is in good condition. The steering wheel is in good condition and has the Jaguar emblem embossed in the center. The dash leather pad is in good condition.

    Gauges:
    Petrol-Fuel - works
Heater blower motor, does not work
    Fuel pump - works
    Headlights - works
    Water-temp - works
    Amps gauge, works
    Clock - does not work

The undercarriage is in great condition. The suspension; front and rear, appears to be in restored-original condition and the detailing is reflective of a completed restoration. The frame is solid and the floors show no sign of repair or welding. I would hazard that the undercarriage restoration is approximatley >10 years in age

The frame rails are solid and have not been repaired. There is no evidence of weld marks or stretching of the floors or rails. I placed magnets all along the side frame rails and cross members and the majority of metal parts, and held without difficulty. I put on gloves and felt all areas that I could reach above the frame rails, bird cage area, rear wheel house areas and felt no rust

This is a classic car, a classic in every sense of the word. It is just two steps from "Elite Show" status. It will win every car show it is entered. Will sell for $89,995

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
