This 1954 Jaguar XK120 roadster is said to have been taken apart for refurbishment approximately three decades ago and remained in storage until its acquisition by the seller in 2020. The car comes with components including a disassembled replacement engine, a transmission, a soft top frame, an instrument cluster, and various trim pieces. This XK120 project is offered at no reserve with a Jaguar Heritage Certificate, a service manual, a collection of parts, and transferrable New York registration in the seller’s name.
The car was finished in Birch Grey from the factory, and is said to have undergone metalwork prior to a repaint in red 30 years ago. Various scratches and other blemishes are visible in the gallery below, and the lights, windshield frame, bumpers, and other trim have been removed. A soft top frame will accompany the vehicle, as will uninstalled side windows and headlights.
Painted knock-off wire wheels wear aged Michelin tires with sidewall damage.
The interior has been stripped and the floors removed along with the dash and other trim, while the four-spoke steering wheel has been retained. Three spare tachometers are included along with an uninstalled gauge cluster housing Smiths instrumentation.
A disassembled replacement inline-six and uninstalled transmission will accompany the vehicle.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory colors along with a completion date of January 25, 1954.
