    Best Pete!

I have bought the hard top second hand but I think that the british Jaguar part supplier Guy Broad has manufactured it.

    Best regards

These fiberglass hardtops were an aftermarket accessary made in the US in the 1950's. I bought a used one in the late 1970's that had been stored for years. It will fit xk120's with the long top bows (the hardtop mounts on the teardrop anchor points, it won't anchor on an early car with short top bows), I believe it will also fit an xk140. As far as I know they were never available as a factory option, but some dealers may have been able to supply one as an accessory. I still have the hardtop in storage.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
