VIN 676024
This Jaguar XK120 Roadster is a ‘numbers-matching’ example of the beautifully styled classic British roadster, which benefits from extensive recent restorative maintenance.
Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 3.4-litre inline-six fed by twin SU carburettors, delivering around 119kW to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
This left-hand-drive example is understood to have originally been a US-delivered model, which was imported and first registered in Australia in 2020, and has been with the seller and reportedly second owner for five years.
The odometer indicates 81,255 miles, though this is not warranted.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
This XK120 Roadster is finished in a handsome shade of white over a red vinyl-trimmed interior, punctuated by chrome trim accents.
It rides on a set of 16-inch wire wheels finished in red with chrome two-spoke knock-offs, and fitted with Garfield Antique whitewall tyres.
Equipment includes a four-spoke steering wheel, a wooden gear knob, Smiths gauges, and door card storage pockets.
This example has been fitted with twin Lucas front spotlights, a genuine XK120 SE exhaust system, and a lower dashboard-mounted temperature gauge and cigarette lighter.
The car comes with a hydraulic jack, a spare wheel, tools, a white period suitcase, a knock-off hammer, an original service manual, a copy of the US certificate of title, the import approval document, two covers (one white, one red), a service kit, and some maintenance and parts invoices.
SERVICE HISTORY
This XK120’s most recent maintenance was carried out by the seller and their father (a mechanic), which consisted of an engine oil change, the fitment of a new fuel pump, the radiator and brakes checked, a new genuine XK120 SE exhaust system fitted, a new bearing and bushing, and the fuel tank flushed and cleaned.
Extensive restoration work was carried out by the seller and their father between October 2022 and February 2023, which included all the mechanical and electrical systems being restored.
A full respray was carried out in 2019.
Other notable maintenance includes the carburettors being rebuilt, all seals replaced, the gearbox restored, and the battery replaced.
This vehicle’s VIN has been checked against the Australian Personal Property Securities Register, and there is no security interest or other registration kind logged against the serial number.
