Opening bid $45,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1954 Jaguar XK 120 Roadster in Old English White with Red leather interior. Older comprehensive restoration on a straight rust free car. Superb chassis and underside. Very good quality paint. Chrome wire wheels, nice leather seats. Body #F8703. Drives incredibly well. Later series 3.4 litre engine from an XK 150 (externally the same but more horsepower). Soft top, side curtains, tonneau and car cover. Spare, jack, hammer etc. Grille has 1 loose vane. This is a very high quality 120 Roadster that can be driven anywhere - a step higher and you get into the $100K+ range.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
