Ebay item 3/1/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $20,100, no reserve, 19 bids, 8 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
A "lost" 1954 Jaguar XK120 DHC. This is a genuine farm barn find, it has been hidden away for the last 15 years in dry storage and is a true survivor, it's almost totally original and is completely unrestored, even down to the wooden floors and the bulbs in the battery compartment. To say that this car is rust free is an understatement (apart from one small area on the right hand front fender). This has to be one of the best original bodies you are ever likely to see, it will need a good sand blasting, some very minor body work and of course, paint. You will have very little (if any) welding to do. You are probably at least $15,000 ahead on restoring this particular car because of the lack of RUST that you would usually have to deal with. If the XK120 is your cup of tea, this is the only car you should be bidding on, I Strongly advise you to cancel all other bids, this is also the only NO RESERVE XK120 FOR SALE ON EBAY, its not going to be cheap but its worth every cent of its high bid price! Although the car has been in hibernation for 15 years + I am pleased to say that the former owner did start it up every now and then to make sure that it would still run, and today I put a new battery on it and hooked up a temporary fuel pump, cleaned the points, freed off the starter bendix and had it running within an hour. And it sounds superb. I honestly think that engine, rear end and transmission wise it's just a case of detailing during restoration - I would not touch it - it doesn't need it. I have not attempted to drive it as the tires have dry rotted and the brakes need to be gone through first, however on picking the car up I did take 3 of the 4 wheels off the free the brakes up and found that everything came undone easily there were no rusty bolts or masses of corrosion. This car is going to be a very valuable car when restored and is not something that you need to give to an expensive repair shop, this is a true Do It Yourself restoration car - DO NOT MISS IT.
Heres some hightlights:

Your so right and whoever did trim it didn't get a good job on this one and that goes for the hood envelope as well!
