Car to be at auction 12/18

Auction description:
Lot 141
90,000 - 110,000 €
1954 - JAGUAR XK 120
German gray card
Chassis # 678393
Beautiful restoration
Reliable car ready to hit the road
Equipped with electronic ignition and power steering

According to his Jaguar Heritage certificate, this copy is matching numbers and has been fully restored. The British Racing Green paint is well stretched, the bodywork is healthy and the bases do not show signs of corrosion. Inside, the carpets and leathers are in perfect condition. In order to make the car more reliable and easy to use, a power steering system has been installed, as well as an electronic ignition, a Getrag 5-speed gearbox and 4 disc brakes. During our test, we found that the 6-cylinder XK turned perfectly round and delivered all his horses. A last major revision has just been made by a specialist: ignition, change of spark plugs, carburation, change of fluids ...
Unparalleled elegance, and thus reliable, this Jaguar XK 120 stands ready to hit the road in all circumstances.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
