Car offered at:
classic-car-service.be/autos/1934-aston-martin-mark-ii-sports-rhd-2/
Sellers description:
Very nice restored Jaguar XK 120. Mille Miglia Eligible. This Jaguar XK 120 Fixed Head Coupe is originally delivered to Belgium Motor Company, Brussels, Belgium. The car has been restored in the Netherlands over a couple of years and in the final stage of restoration, the owner wanted to move on for a new project. An enormous amount of time as well as money has been spent on the car to bring her in the current condition. The Jaguar is in a beautiful period correct blue with a blue interior which suits the car excellent. When we bought the car, it was finished for 90%. We restored the woodwork, finished the interior and finished the mechanics. This car is matching numbers, the heritage certificate is available.

The Interior
Superb blue leather upholstery and matching carpets
Beautifully polished burr walnut veneers
Original left-hand drive
Stepping into the cabin of this glorious XK120 is an experience in itself. The well proportioned seating allows room for two while remaining comfortably snug. Soft blue leather upholstery covers the seats, door cards and trim, and is in superb condition, with almost no signs of use that we could see. The seats are supportive and well padded.
The driver is presented with a sizeable steering wheel, with a confidently proportioned centre boss that proudly displays the roaring Jaguar emblem at its centre. And unusually for a car of this period, the steering column is adjustable forward and back.
Beautifully applied burr walnut veneers cover the dashboard and door cappings. They are highly polished and exhibit an impressive grain structure which shimmers in the light. A full complement of Smiths gauges fills the dashboard to keep the driver informed of the car’s condition.
To the rear, the spacious boot provides ample room for luggage and is neatly carpeted. A full size spare wheel is stowed under the boot floor and the car comes equipped with a beautiful brass tyre pump as well as a well stocked leather tool roll.
The Exterior
Attractively styled fixed head coupé body
Excellent pale blue paintwork
Underside extremely clean
The XK120 is an indisputably beautiful car, we think everyone would agree as much, and the fixed head coupé is a superbly proportioned option for those who want a little more weather protection than you get in an open car.
All the body panels on this Jaguar are in great shape, with no obvious damage or corrosion that we could see, and they have been expertly painted in pale blue. This colour is a great choice on an XK120 and really makes the car stand out from the crowd.
The car stands upon a set of colour-matched steel wheels, which suit it very well and are embellished with chrome hubcaps and trim. They wear a matching set of Dunlop tyres and the rear wheel arches feature attractive spats which help give the car its graceful lines.
A quick glance underneath us all you need to see that this XK120 has been thoroughly restored and has seen very little use since. The chassis, suspension, running gear and panels are all extremely clean and presented without issue.
The Mechanics
3.4-litre straight-six XK engine
Manual transmission
The engine bay is very clean and tidy
The long, slender bonnet lifts to reveal the twin overhead cam XK engine which powers this car towards the heady heights of 120mph. The engine bay is supremely well presented with the polished aluminium camshaft covers gleaming in the light and twin S.U. carburettors sitting proudly to one side.
It appears that many components have been recently replaced, including the ignition coil and the wiring loom looks very fresh.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. It produced 160bhp from the factory and having been thoroughly restored it should still manage a respectable power output.
