Ebay item 5/11/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-XK-120-1952-Fixed-head-Coupe-/180665182004
Current bid $13,902 reserve not met, 17 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Delivered to Max Hoffman (distributor) in New York March 7, 1952. Original color is cream with tan interior. There are some parts missing and some rust. Great restoration project.

Body: Some rust in the usual places- the fender seams, small amount in door jams, and some around the rear quarter windows. Undercarriage is in very solid condition. Paint has been stripped and light coat of primer has been applied to protect the metal.

Upholstery: Seats are in good condition. No door panels and no carpet. Car comes with a new wood kit.

Chrome: Overall in good condition. As of this listing I have not found the headlight rings.

Glass: Windshield glass is not with the car. Rear window is in good shape. Door and quarter glass are in good shape.

What is missing? Radiator- At the time of this listing I do not have the radiator but hope to have a good rebuildable one by close of auction. Chrome rings around the headlights are missing. No winshield glass. No door panels. No grill.

Some small bits and pieces may or may not be missing. I am still going thru boxes and what I find goes with the car. This is a matching number car and comes with a Heritage Trust Certificate.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
