    Vehicle Description

A wonderful unmolested example of the most beautiful of the XK's . Saved from a street rodder this car was garaged for 41 years and never started . After freeing up the bendix and replacing the fuel pump this car roared to life with 60psi of oil pressure and settled down to a nice idle ! The odometer reads 9800 and I can not tell if it is correct or not but I am leaning towards that it is . The cam covers were removed and no trace of sludge could be found , the brakes show no wear , wheel cylinders are not pitted and the distributer still has the original early style cap .This car was rust proofed and needs no panel replacements . Sometime before 1964 the car was repainted , I do not know why . I can see no signs of damage .I do not have the jack hole covers or the lock for the fuel door . I have the rear taillight lens and a new rim for one of the front headlights . I also have new brake hoses , rebuilt kit for master cylinder and new parts to rebuild the wheel cylinders , also new cam cover gaskets .The cars starts but does not drive , I do not know the condition of the trans . The gas tank was removed by me to be boiled out and leaks fixed , but was not done . The wood trim is complete and in excellent condition as are the gauges . The head liner is in tact and the leather seats are still supple . The serial # is 679459 BOO Engine # W4428 Body # J1462 . What else can I say ........ I have restored cars for 30 years and always wanted a 120FHC

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
