Current bid US $6,699 reserve not met, 4 bids 9 days left in auction. Buy it now price $39,500.

    Sellers description:
1952 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe. A complete, virtually rust free Jaguar recently discovered after over 40 years dry storage in California and Colorado. The car still displays the California black plates from 1972, when the car was last driven. This is a very solid car requiring a full restoration to make roadworthy due to over four decades of storage. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate states the car was originally Pastel Green exterior with Suede Green leather interior which would be an excellent color choice for the elegant body style. The engine block matches the Heritage Certificate but the head was changed out early in the cars life with a 1954 XK120 Special Equipment version featuring hi-lift cams and larger valves. The body is quite clean, the only visible rust are small microblisters at the very rear of the body tub. The doors, sills and boot floors are very good.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
