This 1952 example has been carefully restored, with particular attention paid to every aspect of its presentation. The car was delivered new to Hornburg, California, in September 1952, and made its way to Europe in the early 2000s, where a complete restoration was undertaken, rebuilding the car from top to bottom, including the engine, suspension and bodywork. It is also fitted with a highly sought-after C-Type cylinder head and large-diameter stainless steel exhaust system. For those looking for an early example in good condition, you need look no further...

Impeccably presented inside and out

Beautifully restored bodywork and paintwork

Elegant leather upholstery appears to be free from noticeable wear

The vendor reports some minor chrome defects on the rear bumper, but these are not particularly noticeable

There is a small paint imperfection on the nose, but otherwise there is very little to report

The underside appears to be in excellent condition and is remarkably clean

Luggage compartment behind the seats deepened, batteries moved under the wing as on the XK 140 (US)

Mechanical

3.4-litre, six-cylinder XK engine

4-speed manual gearbox

Sophisticated C-type cylinder head

High-compression pistons

Servo-assisted front disc brakes

Twin-pipe SE stainless steel exhaust system

The seller assures us that it runs and drives very well with no apparent faults

The vendor reports that the oil pressure is constant over a long ride, and the water temperature is constant.

The electric choke has a manual switch under the dashboard on the left-hand side; the left-hand switch can be pulled out to turn it on.

The fog lights are controlled by the RH switch and come on with the headlights.

Seller advises that the electric choke may need adjustment as the car is used and run in

The engine has been properly run-in; the car is highly performant.
