Owner: Gilbert

Since i was young i used to dream about owning a classic jaguar. i started by collecting the Maisto die cast cars thinking i will never be able to have a jaguar. My entourage and family friends fuelled this passion in me, as one the family friends has a big collection of classic jags and my mum\\\'s cousin has a jaguar worskshop.\

Ebay item 1/17/13
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1952-red-Jag-good-condition-all-original-garaged-its-who ...
Car has a buy it now price of $80,000 for 5 days.

Sellers description:
This wonderful car came into Grandpa's possession when it was six months old; he bought it off of a patient who had used it for racing. Grandpa used it for house calls back in the fifties, sixties and seventies, in the hills above Santa Barbara, California, and VERY much enjoyed driving it. (He bought an MKII for Grandma in the 60's, probably to keep her away from his Jag?!) Around 1980, Grandma and Grandpa moved to Arizona. The engine and transmission are all original, and the car has ALWAYS been garaged. Grandpa took wonderful, loving car of his cars. The car needs detailing, and the trunk, doors and possibly the hood are aluminum (no dents). The inside was redone in Naugahyde. Mom JUST pulled this piece of history out of the barn (where it was covered), and took it to the local Jag man to have the engine and brakes done. This car is beautiful.

Offered by Classic Cars West in Oakland Calif. at $65,000.
Described as being owned by one family.
Note the painted tail lights. This is believed to be correct for the period of late '51 to mid '52. The future restorer should try to determine if these are original to the car. Porter's XK book puts the production date of this car as July 1952, and if they are original it would help to put an ending date to this painted tail light period.

I have done some substantial mechanical work on the car and its almost a daily driver here in Dubai when the weather allows. Original color of the car is bronze and same can be seen when the tail lights were removed. Any information on this car from previous owner would be appreciated especially original pics in original color! i love this car!
